Moorpark Country Club is a Public 27 hole golf facility located in Moorpark, California, only minutes from Los Angeles with cooler coastal temperatures. The facility has three 9-hole golf courses Creekside, Ridgeline and Canyon Crest. These 9-hole segments can be combined to make three different 18-hole golf course combinations.
Moorpark Country Club first opened for play in October 2002. The course was designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy.
Moorpark Country Club offers spectacular panoramic views including glimpses of the Channel Islands which are visible from several elevated tee locations. Secluded in the canyons and citrus groves the three distinct and returning nines - Creekside, Ridgeline and Canyon Crest, will provide a memorable golf experience. The wonderful coastal temperatures give Moorpark Country Club the perfect year-around climate for golf.
Par for the course is Creekside/Ridgeline 18 is 72. From the back tees the course plays to 7010 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5419 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 5, a par-5 that plays to 676 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 4, a par-3 that plays to 174 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 5, a 676 yard par-5 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at the Moorpark Country Club Creekside/Ridgeline combination is # 14, a 296 yard par-4.

I didn't appreciate one of the marshals comments that we were slow when the group ahead of us was just leaving the green on a par three.

To call this golf course a goat pasture is to insult the goats. Even the designer admitted that it's built on bad land. If you build a golf course on land that cannot be walked, you'd better be sure that the design is not tricked up. It may look nice, but unless target golf is your thing, you won't like this place. There is nothing strategic about any of the holes I played...just hit the ball to a precise spot, then hit the next shot to another precise spot. If you don't, your ball winds up in some screwy place and you make double bogey (or worse). Some people think that if a golf course is hard, it's good. I no longer think that. Jack Nicklaus builds golf courses for scratch golfers. They are not fun to play. Neither is this.

Pros: Great layout. Great Challenge. Cons: Little pricy during the week. Would not honor senior rate on Friday. Staff in pro shop could of handled this issue better.

I played here with my club (Griffith Park) in an away tournament so the price I think was a deal. I used to be a member at MPCC and it is all that I remembered. Top shelf all the way. Bring some extra balls with you, there are no rewards for missed shots.

Great golf course. If you got the coin to spend its the best in the area. I wish I could take advantage of the weekday rate.

The course has 27 holes. The Creekside course (9 holes) makes it a real challenge when played with either of the remaining two 9 hole courses. A popular place for the better golfers and duffers alike.

This is a very well kept course and worth the money. It is difficult but fair. Greens are amazing and the pace during the week is 9 out 10 times incredible.

Great course with plenty of challenges, but still playable for the average golfer. A group of twenty guys came down from Bakersfield. The range of handicaps were from our local Pro all the way to 30. Everyone had a good time and all said they would do it again.

Always a pleasure to play at Moorpark. Nice people, nice layout(s), great conditions, good price. The only time it's not worth it is when the Santa Ana winds are blowing in the winter.
